Paint Protection Film (commonly referred to as PPF) is your new car’s best friend.
Every car looks amazing right off the dealership lot, wouldn’t you like to keep it that way? Well unfortunately, cars don’t come with any protection on their paint so the second you drive that car off the lot, it is prone to rock chips. You may even get one on your first drive home.
The truth is, when a rock flies into a car, all of the energy is focused on the point of the rock which makes contact with the paint, which is a very very small area. Automotive paint is thin and does not have much flex, so when that rock hits, you will have a small chip which can eventually crack and peel. Day after day of driving without protection will result in hundreds of these paint chips.
You can touch up the chipped areas, but they will just keep coming back unless you protect your paint. (the only way to protect paint as of now is with PPF if you were wondering)
If you have PPF installed and a rock hits your car, the urethane layer of the film will flex when impacted, absorbing some of the force and spreading out the rest into a larger area, saving your paint from that tiny little chip.

PPF COST FACTORS
Here are the factors taken into consideration when pricing each PPF INSTALLATION
Vehicle Size
Smaller vehicles have much less surface area to work with, resulting in less time involved in installation. Where as larger vehicles require more time to install.
Condition of Paint
We will not PPF over paint that is scratched and has swirls all over. If your paint is brand new, then you are in the clear. But if your paint is rough, we will have to perform a paint correction on your vehicle so that you do not see any paint defects and imperfections through the film.
Body Lines of a Vehicle
A front bumper of an SUV will be much larger and smoother than that of a supercar where the bumper will be smaller with tighter angles and much more hard to reach spots. These difficult spots will add more time the to installation
Gloss or Satin?
Gloss paint protection film is the most commonly used, however, some prefer to change their vehicles finish from gloss to satin while maintaining the factory color. Satin paint protection film has an added cost over the gloss film.

How much will it cost to PPF my car?
How long will it take to get my vehicle back?
Daily Driver and Track Packs can take anywhere from 1-3 days where as a Full Vehicle installation can take up to a week.
Do you have any loaner vehicles available while my car is at your shop?
On the fence about getting work done on your car because it’s your only means of transportation. We have you covered. We do NOT have any complimentary loaner vehicles, however we do have a selection of luxury and exotic rental vehicles in which customers get 40% OFF the daily rates. Inquire with your sales rep about using one of our vehicles while your vehicle is at The LAB. See our current rental fleet here
What options do I have for PPF finishes?
You can choose between gloss clear or satin clear. Gloss will retain your factory color and finish, you will not notice there is even a film there. While satin will retain your factory color but change your finish to a matte sheet.
Do you offer a warranty on paint protection film?
We are the only shop to offer an 11 Year Warranty on paint protection film installations.
*Warranty not transferrable when vehicle is sold
Do I have to buy a package or can I customize what I want done?
You can PPF as much or as little as you want. Just tell us what parts you need protected and we will get you a custom quote.
What happens if I get PPF and it gets damaged?
If you were in an accident, got a door ding or pissed off your girlfriend, YES you can have just that one portion replaced.
Can you apply Ceramic Coating on top of PPF?
