We're seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Parts Specialist to join our growing team. In this part-time role, you'll play a key role in building and managing our comprehensive parts inventory and ensuring a seamless experience for our customers. The ideal candidate is a tech-savvy individual with a passion for organization. You should be comfortable navigating online marketplaces and e-commerce platforms, while possessing meticulous attention to detail for accurate inventory management. Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential, as is the ability to troubleshoot and manage time effectively. A bonus comes with a love for luxury cars and the ability to work independently as part of a team.
Requirements
- 18 Years of Age or Older
- CLEAN DRIVING RECORD - Please state if you do not have one
- Valid Driver's License
- Able to Commute to North Haven, CT for work
- No Felonies - Please state if you have one
- Valid ASE Certification
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Existing knowledge of automotive parts and the industry as a whole
- Minimum one year of experience in a customer service or retail environment (preferred)
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in using online marketplaces (eBay, Facebook Marketplace) and e-commerce platforms (X-Cart)
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail
- Ability to maintain accurate physical and digital inventory records
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership and social skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities
- Experience in the automotive industry (luxury car knowledge a plus)
- Experience in parts management or logistics
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs
- Self-motivated and able to work well alone and with a team
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate physical and digital inventory records using X-Cart and other relevant systems
- Conduct periodic inventory audits to ensure accuracy and identify restocking needs.
- Research and source parts from various vendors, considering cost, availability, and quality.
- Process purchase orders and track deliveries.
- Organize and maintain a clean and well-stocked parts department.
- Create and maintain accurate listings for parts across online marketplaces (eBay, Facebook Marketplace) and the X-Cart online store.
- Update pricing and availability information for online listings.
- Manage and respond to customer inquiries
- Process online orders and ensure timely fulfillment.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with parts inquiries and purchases.
- Research and identify parts based on customer descriptions or vehicle information.
- Generate quotes and estimates for parts and shipping costs.
- Process customer returns and exchanges according to company policy.
- Oversee inbound and outbound parts shipments, ensuring timely deliveries and proper packaging
- Assist with preparing parts for technicians or customers (cleaning, packaging, etc.)
- Maintain and update parts catalogs and reference materials.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and new parts availability.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and profitability of the parts department.
